THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS
This was simultaneously one of the worst and best races we have ever had. Lobby setup was a nightmare. It seems as though Forza 7 gets highly unstable once you pass 20 people in one lobby. And due to the success so far of this series, that was exactly the case. It seemed like the majority of people had a game crash or lost connection at some point, even during the race. We would have had a full lobby if it wasn’t for these issues. The game couldn’t even save everyone in the replay for the second time now. But once the racing started...oh my. OH. MY. I thought Daytona was close, but this race took that to the next level. Tons of passing back and forth in GT. The different strengths and weaknesses of each car were really exemplified and led to really close racing, which is exactly what I wanted to see from this series. Even with only 5 cars in Sports-Proto, there was still great racing there too. I highly encourage everyone to go back through the replays and see all the action. The actual race is everything I hoped this series would be. It’s just a shame the internet and game problems turned this into a mess.
Now it’s time for Sebring! We’re going back from sprint to endurance races, so this round will be 2 hours, and I’ll give out trophies again. The voting thread for the date will be up tomorrow or Wednesday. Unfortunately, March is a bit limited for time options, but hopefully one will work for everyone. BoP may or may not be changed very much. Some cars were a bit off for the Glen so they’ll change, but beyond that I’m hoping I’ve found good settings for normal tracks. Either way, new BoP should be done at least a week before the next race.
In the polls I’m also going to have votes for some minor rule changes. Nothing major, just some potential changes to start/restart and end procedures. Basically, for starts, the options will be the current method (call out race time), countdown, or go at the line. Then for race end, the options will be current method (race to end of timer), use lap counter and race until race length reached on timer then finish current lap, or use timer with extra time and race until race length reached on timer then finish current lap. This is also the first race with all three weather options, so there will be voting for that as well.
Another great race, though plagued with #justforzathings. Congrats to everyone who raced, regardless of position. The racing was fantastic, and I hope the next round is even better!

This has to be, for me personally, one of the best races in Forza, ever. I havent really had any dealings with the front pack (not enough time to set up the car), but man, had some proper fun nonetheless. Had an awesome battle with Tellerium. Im sticking with the Skyline, gonna add a proper, racey skin and some decals and get it prepped for Sebring.

I’m going to be finishing this game out but probably not going for FM8 is what I mean. I will try to be there for Sebring, schedule and internet willing even though I hate that track.

I’m hoping Forza 8 is a good game, since it seems like even numbered Forzas are the good ones, though given Turn 10s actions as of late I’m skeptical.

Same. I really hope they figure it out since Forza has a high player base and is the best medium to run series like this.
